The show comes on from 9-12 CST then replays from 12-3. So I would tune in around 1 pm CST to hear that discussion again. Or if you have the app you can go back and listen to it.

Childers thinks it's a possibility for a G5 school to get in, Rick Neuheisel says not a chance at all.

I'd agree with Rick, particularly this year. If it ever happens for us (in either a limited team scenario or an 8-team playoff), one of our teams basically needs to hand a 1-loss P5 conference champion their only loss. It probably also needs to be an established P5 champ. i.e. you need to hand Oklahoma their only loss, not a fluke TCU team winning the Big 12.

With the OOC games left on the schedule, very little hope of that happening. If all conferences are playing in a vacuum, with little exception, then the top 4 will be chosen from the SEC/B12/Clemson.

I should have added that Childers think it's a chance only over a P5 school with two losses.

Still think it would have to be the right team. Like if Pitt wins the ACC with two loses, an undefeated AAC team could maaaybe slide in. 2-loss Clemson? No chance.

The problem for AAC most P5 are not playing OOC games so we will lack the signature win by default. If we played 12 games and 4 OOC each then we could build a resume

Agreed. The CFP aside, there is great opportunity this fall for a young American Conference to build visibility through having multiple member schools ranked, more prime time telecasts filling the void left by the B10/Pac12, a lock on the New Year's bowl, and invitations for open slots in major bowls that were never available previously.

If there is a season (which seems more likely now) and if there is still college football in December, this represents a unique opportunity for the AAC to drive the P6 narrative farther down the road.

The way Pitt has dodged our overtures to play oc this year, it would be criminal for them to get the p5 benefit of the doubt

I stand corrected. If USF were to run the table AND beat a 1-loss ACC champion Notre Dame, then they are in the playoff.

Get after it Bulls.

We'll have a bunch of teams in the 12-25 range. I forsee good football but too much parity for a CFP team to emerge.

Sure, everyone lay down in front of us and get stampeded, and win all your OOC games. That should boost us from 60th to 4th.
