Talk about making lemonade with 2020 lemons. Good stuff for the G5!

ESPN might start to realize that giving fans a chance to watch good G5 games can be just as good as forcing fans to watch terrible P5 match ups.

One can hope. The problem is that in a normal year, the "terrible" P5 matchups are usually relegated to ESPNU, FS1, ACCN, SECN, BTN, or Fox Sports regional outlets. The better matchups are the ones that end up on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, Fox, and CBS. The G5 is left high and dry.

We just have to enjoy this exposure while it lasts.

Rumors from Marshall boards that App/Marshall could be headed to CBS from CBS Sports Network. CBS's only game was Army/BYU, which was postponed.

That would be awesome. Especially if App could take home another OOC victory for the SBC.

Think they do have rights to one other game for this weekend as well. Our game makes the most sense to move to 3:30 on CBS it would seem.

I wouldn’t think CBS would replace that slot with something other than football.

I don't think that was a rumor. More of a "could it happen?" post.

Just saw it posted on CUSABBS as a rumor then went to HerdNation and saw a premium post from a moderator called "Rumor" that started off with "Hearing there's a very good shot our Appy..." then it cut off since I'm not subscribed. I assumed that's where the "rumor" mentioned on CUSABBS came from but I guess I'm not positive.

FWIW, our 247Sports premium site mod said he heard that rumor running around as well. Who knows.

Just seeing a tweet from a connected App fan worth keeping an "eye" on today. Remember what station has an eye logo?

Does all of this extra exposure come with $$$? One would assume in the contract that we would have a build in for extra revenue if games are picked up. Even if it doesn't, it is still a win, but extra revenue would be a win/win

That's awesome for both teams. This is an instant classic G5 match up and should be played more often.

Congratulations! I'm sure App State will represent the Sun Belt very well and bring back another victory for the SBC!
