RE: Falwell resigns
Oof! Was listening to Richie’s press conference and he was mentioning the power of social media and how it works both ways, bad and good. We just had a good boost with the BYU win. Then he mentioned Hulu. So I googled Hulu and Liberty University. Next week they come out with a documentary on the Jerry Jr. scandal. I hope it’s about him and not solely a hit piece on LU. Either way, I am sure there will be reaction and quite a few comments on different message boards.

RE: Falwell resigns
First off, let me say that I believe in forgiveness and second chances. But I think there has to be repentance on the part of the offender for that forgiveness and second chance to happen. I can’t recall Junior admitting his wrongs or asking for forgiveness for what he has done. Actually, I’ve seen the opposite, a defiance even. In a Vanity Fair interview earlier this year, Falwell said, “Because of my last name, people think I’m a religious person. But I’m not. My goal was to make them realize I was not my dad.” He gave the impression in the interview that he never wanted to be doing what he was doing at Liberty. That his dad forced him into the role. Never admitting that he had done anything wrong. This documentary on Hulu is about to come out and he shows up at the football game Saturday. Posting pictures on Instagram and whining that they wouldn’t let him in the stadium. In my opinion, with all the negative press that he has brought to this school, he should have known that would be a bad idea. But not Junior. No, he’s posting pictures and whining how much he misses the students and trashing one of the LU President candidates. And if that wasn’t enough, he trashes Franklin Graham. Then he finishes by saying he couldn’t confirm this information yet. Why say it then? Unless maybe you want to blame everyone else for your wrongs and try to come out the victim. He come out of this with 10 million dollars! I say stay away from the school and keep your mouth shut. Maybe that’s something they should have required when they gave him the 10 million. Liberty has enough haters without adding fuel to the fire. I acknowledge that Junior was a savvy business guy, and his business decisions helped Liberty grow financially to great heights. But he needs to deal with the wrong decisions he has made that has impacted Liberty in a negative way. To all those people on Instagram who are telling Junior how they miss him and how he is the victim. Shame on you. Liberty will continue to be the victim of Junior’s actions. Walking away with 10 million doesn’t seem like a victim to me.

Watched it. Very damning for Jr. and his wife. Took plenty of shots at Jerry Sr. and LU. Really took Trump to task too. Even with what truth it brings out, it is very much a political hit piece generated by liberal progressives against conservative republicans. Even hits right at election time. What a coincidence?

Oh well, those are the consequences of dancing with the devil.

I said long before all this came out that he should be pushed out and was bad for LU. The LU pod people always pushed back. Conservative LU folks sure know how to follow leaders bad or good even if its off a cliff.
