College football polls are such a joke, and not even from a "why isn't UAB ranked?" perspective. Why on earth do we rank 25 teams when 65 of them are going to take, at a minimum, 23 slots? It's really just a P5 circlejerk that's highly biased and inaccurate.
7 of the teams on this list aren't even playing! 2 teams on the list finished .500 in the regular season. Iowa State feels like the new Miami/Tennessee at this point. Matt Campbell has a 26-25 record at Iowa State but they're somehow in the top-25 every year (guy is clearly a good coach at a tough job I'm just pointing out the stupid ranking). Why the hell is Auburn #11? I love my school but they lost the entire OL and all key players on defense.
Cinci & UCF both finished X-3 last year but both of them barely crack the rankings? Yeah that makes sense. Boise & App should be top-25 locks at this point.
