No more debate. Now we're talking 'da GOAT LOL. Not part of a team or reliant on others for success but solo achievement. 18 PGA major championships [#1 all time] and 73 PGA tour wins [#3 all time]. For 24 consecutive years [1960 to 1983] made at least one top 10 finish in PGA major [#1 all time].

RE: 2020 NFL Thread
So what's going on with the QB position these days? Something in the water? Diva complex? They deserve more say in how a team is run and building the roster? We already know there was a falling out in LA with Goff. We also know that Watson is not happy. Wentz is not happy. Rogers is not happy. Now, Wilson is fussin'. Not a good trend if you ask me.
Quote:Months after leading the race for 2020 NFL MVP, Russell Wilson is suddenly the latest centerpiece of offseason quarterback drama. First, CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora reported that teams had begun sniffing around about the Seahawks star as a potential trade target. Then Wilson himself aired frustrations with his supporting cast in Seattle. Now, as speculation ramps up regarding more than a dozen logical suitors for the former Super Bowl champion, the Seahawks are reportedly getting more and more calls from teams checking in on the QB, all while navigating their own unhappiness with Wilson over his recent comments.
"Amidst all the media hoopla in recent days, it's no surprise ... more teams continue to call the Seahawks about the availability, potentially, of Russell Wilson," NFL Network's Tom Pelissero said Thursday. "Those teams, from what they have picked up on so far, have gotten no indication that the Seahawks are in any way inclined to trade their star quarterback. ... (But) the more that Wilson talks, the more other teams are going to be trying to figure out exactly what's going. They'll be calling the Seahawks, who probably are also trying to figure out exactly what's going on here."
NBC Sports' Dan Patrick reported earlier Thursday that Seahawks management is "not happy with Russell Wilson and his camp" for going public with his concerns about things like personnel involvement and on-field protection over the years. "You wonder if they're going to be able to co-exist," Patrick said, per ProFootballTalk. "The current situation is not sustainable."

RE: 2020 NFL Thread
Some people, maybe including Seahawks' management, criticized Wilson after their playoff loss to the Rams. Maybe Wilson is firing back by saying the roster should be upgraded.
If several teams are calling the Seahawks about Wilson, it's because so many teams don't have a solid starting QB. Obviously, if you're looking to acquire a QB, you'd much rather have Wilson than Wentz, and Watson is going to be much too expensive, so... might as well call Seattle.

Sign Watt, get Greedy and Delpit healthy, draft heavy on defense and maybe a WR.
I think that makes them a Super Bowl contender for next season.

RE: 2020 NFL Thread
Scoop, there it is!
Quote:The Carson Wentz era is over in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade the 2016 No. 2 overall pick to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 second-round pick that could turn into a first, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora confirms. The conditions of the 2022 pick turning into a first are as followed:
Wentz reaches 75% of the offensive snaps in 2021
70% of the offensive snaps and Colts make the playoffs
Wentz a Colt

Frank Reich must really love Wentz, because it looks like they paid way too much for him.
Also, it looks like da Raiduz will be keeping Carr and trading Mariota.

Per Field Yates...
Those 22 QBs: Matthew Stafford, Mark Sanchez, Josh Freeman, Sam Bradford, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Ryan Tannehill, Brandon Weeden, E.J. Manuel, Blake Bortles, Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz and Paxton Lunch
Five are now free agents after last season: RGIII, James, Bortles, Gabbert, and Cam Newton.
Manziel plays for the "Zappers" of the FCFL (Fan Controlled Football League), which started their season last Saturday with games on Twitch.

Yup. Granted, the Browns will have to pay some dudes under current contracts and maybe sign a guy like JJ...
Quote:The Cleveland Browns will carry forward $30.4 million in unused cap space from 2020 to 2021 according to figures published Thursday by the NFLPA.
It is the most money carried over in the league according to the league’s players association meaning executive vice president of football operations and general manager Andrew Berry will have even more flexibility this offseason.
The Jets will carry forward the second-most space – $26.7 million. Dallas ($25.4 million), Jacksonville ($23.5 million) and Philadelphia $22.8 million are the other remaining teams that topped $20 million in unused room.
Spend wisely and good things will come

Good moves for all three teams. The Eagles got a good package for Wentz, who was done in Philadelphia and the Colts get a player that has been a good NFL starter. Reich has obviously had success with Wentz before, when Wentz went 11-2 as a starter in 2017 and made the pro bowl. The Colts have a top ten defense and a top ten offense, so Wentz does not have to carry the team.
Carr was rated the No.8 quarterback this season by Pro Football Focus. Carr has a salary of $19.6 million in 2021 and $19.8 million in 2022, so it is a real good situation financially at the quarterback position for the next two seasons for the Raiders. If they can fix the crummy defense, they have a playoff team. It is up to their new defensive coordinator, Gus Bradley, and GM Mike Mayock to fix the D.
