Good to be in the WAC!

STEPHEN F. AUSTIN STATE LUMBERJACK BASKETBALL

25 - CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
150 + CONFERENCE WINS IN LAST 10 SEASONS
5 - NCAA TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES (4 IN THE LAST 7 SEASONS)
1 - NIT APPEARANCE

Good to have some SFA posters here, welcome. Hopefully you can bring some friends to give us a more balanced view. From the current makeup of posts one would believe Tarleton is the state's undisputed flagship institution, bigger than all the others combined.
come on Burger, say it with me....

Occasionally our provost refers to my department as a "crown jewel" of the university. After we've really botched something.

RE: 2021-22 WAC Basketball Commitments...
UTRGV has a 2021-2022 roster posted.

Everyone PistolPete has listed, plus returning Quinton Johnson, Jeff Otchere, Marek Nelson, Doc Nelson, Isaiah Garcia, Malik Lawrence-Anderson, Laquan Butler.

100% replacement of coaching staff, no overlap with last year. One trainer from last year but he serves multiple sports.

Big time news for New Mexico State. Tillman and McCants returning is huge. NMSU will have 16 scholarship players.

Like at SFA, NMSU confirms the return of three vital seniors...

Yeah, so? Take a closer look at what BCG is putting together under the radar. Basically a roster full of 6'6 220+lb. NFL linebacker-sized freakishly athletic young guys. Added a few bigs as well. We're adding the muscle to match our hustle! COGS

Well, Final, as the news articles said his talent is not in doubt. The question is whether he can stay legal, eligible, and committed long enough to contribute when you need it. So one possible answer to your question is that the last walk-on on the GCU bench is more valuable than an NMSU player who has left the team. Let's hope it doesn't turn out that way, if he's actually playing he will make the whole WAC better.

You act like he is a gang banger who has always been in trouble with the law even though his legal trouble was just one incident. You also act like he has grade issues even though he has never had grade issues. He is already on campus. He is going to play.

He has had issues controlling his temper since HS. Is Bi-Polar and according to this article below he can never get out of his own way. He can score though. I hope he plays a full season. He's a product of child abuse from his Dad which is more the reason why he has had some of the issues he has had.

Teddy Allen's issues are well documented. I'm sure Jans would not have enter into a contract with Allen if he didn't think he could help Allen become a better player, better teammate, and better person. Jans is a tough coach but he will try to do what is right for Allen. I trust Jans knows what he is doing. And, I'm sure he has prepared himself for possibly a bumpy ride with Allen. At this moment in time, the rewards outweighs the risk.

And its not like we're short of scholarships to offer. If he doesn't work out, go to the next guy on the bench. We've got the personnel to compete with or without him.

Well, Teddy Allen is more than just another player. If he is deemed eligible and can keep his emotions in check, he is easily the best offensive player on the Aggie roster. He is a game changer. NMSU will have a good team without Allen but a players like Allen gives NMSU a player who can match up with most of the best players on P5 rosters. He is an offensive juggernaut.
