ULM took a bit of damage. There was at least one big tree completely upended by the storm.

I only remember one hurricane really making much impact in Arkansas and that was when I was a young lad. I don't even remember the name of it. That would have been in the 1960s I think.

Also, say a prayer for our farmers. This combination of wind and rain is going to destroy our rice and corn crops.

Oops! At least you knew which state I meant. LOL
Nasty storm. I’ve got family in Lafayette. Mostly OK (not to be confused with Oklahoma), but no power earlier this morning.

When is the last time a hurricane has made it into Arkansas?? Looks like Laura could still be Cat 1 entering AK. ?

Hurricane Petrino hit Fayetteville in 2012. The poor city hadn’t recovered

Our hangars in Lake Charles.

What a mess. I used to construct radomes when I was in the Air Force, along with other radio towers and antennas ... they usually won't hold up past 120-130mph winds ... which is impressive in it's own way given they are simply steel and fiberglass.

Sad to see those beautiful planes in that condition.

The ASOS failed at 134mph and we lost an AW139 in one of the hangars. Same one with the older planes.

2008 one of the hurricanes made it to Arkansas as a tropical depression and just effin camped here for three days. Weird as hell rain coming from the east in large amounts for three days but wind wasn’t bad.

This go round mostly east of Little Rock. We had about 10 minutes of very strong sustained wind coming from due south. Was watching it hit my neighbors roof and then blow back up. Looked like smoke then just normal rain and fizzled out.

East of LR had tornado near Stuttgart bizarre seeing the warning box point northwest because usually they head northeast or east.

Jonesboro had at least one tornado nearby.

My highlight was the guy who rage tweeted a Jonesboro weatherman about pre-empting the convention because everyone already knew the storm was coming and besides he should quit talking about tornadoes because it was a hurricane and hurricanes spin so there were no tornadoes

They seemed to think we had two tornadoes in Paragould( 20 miles north of Joneboro). One over George Rays on the east side of town. The other over the old Greene County Tech High School on the west side. Never heard if they touched down. I live about in the middle of these areas. That's for the stAte guys on here that might be local. Point is...to dang close.
