RE: Within next 10 years Memphis will have an on campus stadium
The less the city wants to invest into the aging stadium the more an OCS will become a need and priority.
Right now, it's a good fit but not ideal.

USC plays in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum which is owned by the City and County of Los Angeles. It’s also 97 years old.
That’s a pretty major program.
City and County just gave Operation Power and Management of the Coliseum to USC with a recent 98 year lease while USC just spent $310 Million on stadium renovations.
Most also know that the stadium is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from USC Campus.

If we were in the Big 12 and home games included Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Kansas State, etc., then it would be sold out for every game, unless we were 0-12.
I guess I’m just not on the build it and they will come bandwagon. Memphis tried that with the NFL and you know the rest...
I'm with you. That's why I'm of the opinion that we stay in the LB until the P5 comes calling. Then, the dollars will flow more readily and you build a 60,000 seat on campus with all the bells and whistles.
I still prefer near campus! BEER IS NOT ALLOWED ON ANY STATE COLLEGE CAMPUS IN TENNESSEE.
Cosine. And I just realized after reading some discussion with the A State troll in the game thread, we will have to go there next year, where there isn't even a smoke-hole within the fenced area, because "no smoking or tobacco products anywhere on campus." Of course, I intend to quite by then, but I've been saying that for 10 years.

I’m out, Ike. Browning Hall will no longer pitch his people while you continue to waffle. Good luck.
