lol. it's about influencing the undecideds.

I doubt Biden commercials with Biden quoting the Pope and saying that's straight from the Bible (actual commercial I saw today) will change any minds. Negative BS about Trump certainly won't (virtually every other commercial Biden runs). To win undecided, candidates have to sell them on how their own policies will benefit the undecided. Negative commercials are more about getting out the base for voting, IT'S September if Biden hasn't energized his base yet it ain't going to happen.

in theory, negative ads drive down an opponent’s favorables in order to depress turnout ...

Trump's fav/unfav is stable, short of a new provable item, saying Trump supporters are violent racists just energizes Trump's base and is blah...blah...blah to undecided. Same with all the other negative ads, Trump opposes Obamacare, Trump's failed to manage COVID19. If the MSM hadn't beat these horses to death negative might have worked. The MSM have been running negative Trump ads since November 9, 2016.

In terms of media-influence, the anti-Trump forces really have done everything humanly possible for the past 4+ years. There’s just nothing left to say or do in that regard.

Now in terms of hiring/paying people to do the ballot-harvesting, and voter-fraud activities in heavily anti-Trump precincts, yeah you probably can get something good in exchange for $100m. We’ll see.

Agree, and one further, about half may be set aside for lawyers to sue individual election boards demanding contested ballots be counted. IF FL is close there could be a month of litigation.

Depends what the Pope said ... he's probably known to quote the Bible sometimes. Maybe Bloomberg will run ads to sell the undecideds on Biden policies. And negative Trump ads to get out the base as you say. Republicans spend money on campaigns too - are they just throwing it away?

No its not. Its about trying to get back the democratic base in FLorida. Not only is Trump over performing 2016 among latinos, Biden is seriously underperforming in Dade county. Biden underperforming is a serious down ballot issue, because there's 5 democratic house seats in FLorida alone that would easily flip if Biden underperforms.
