Rice - new school year
O-week has started and new students have moved in. Some students have decided to "attend" virtually.

Will Rice college has already changed to a fully virtual O-Week after 2 advisors tested positive for COVID.

833 new students were given rapid tests on Saturday and Sunday, and three students tested positive.

RE: Rice - new school year
Prior to O-week I had looked at he results of positive cases noted on on the Rice website. It was at 69. Today, it has 82.

I had a virtual associate's dinner with a group from Jones. Everyone was in seperate rooms (or with their roommate). Not as fun as hosting the group in person. O-week was a different expereince than usual but I think coorindator's and advisors did their best.

Also, saw that there is one student (also from Jones) that has started a petition and notes his experience since arriving on campus.
