Carrier Dome?
Which of you was it that said you have been in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, and that it is not a very good arena - just big?

It is huge. I am watching the Orange playing Pitt in 1987, and it holds a small city. Well, a pretty good sized city.

It was me. Saw the Richmond Spiders play the Orangemen there. It is designed as a football arena, but for basketball the court is placed sideways at one end, and portable stands are put up across the football field to enclose it. Obviously it holds a huge basketball crowd, but the place is pretty old and very Spartan.

Kids from the Big East and now the ACC are used to it, but I can imagine just the dimensions of that place with a decent crowd can be pretty intimidating to visiting teams.
