I guess when you thought ACC, SEC and Big 12 would cave in like they and the PAC did, you have to try to save face though it’s like not going happen if the players left back home.
Either way the PAC and B1G are damaged.

It would have been wise for all of the P5 commissioners to be in communication on this so they could have acted together.
The Big Ten went maverick, expecting everyone else to follow and now they look foolish as 3 of the 5 have chosen to power through.

Bill Rabinowitz is the Ohio State beat writer for the Columbus Dispatch. Consider his sources to be at the highest level. I’ve posted this before- some of the B10 teams may elect not to play, but I think we are going to see at least 6-8 change course here sooner than later and play this season.

NJ and apparently PA high school fall sports are going to be played but multi - million dollar national universities in those states shut their fall sports programs down. Not putting the seriousness of this pandemic down but I guess we'll have to see who is right in the end. Heck I have seen some youth programs here in eastern PA on the field practicing football and soccer. Once again - who is right and who is wrong on this issue when most think you should air on the side of caution.

I’m 21 miles from Southern Indiana. Indiana high schools will be playing football Friday night. They held their jamborees last week and start the regular season this week. Here in Kentucky high school football won’t start until 9/11.

Yep.
I'd imagine that anytime there's a recruiting battle between a school in the F-2 (Foolish 2) and the P-3 the P-3 recruiter is going to say "Do you really want to go play at a school where there's no assurances they are going to be allowed to play? How serious do you think they take football when they didn't even try to have a football season in 2020? They just decided it was too hard and quit. What's going to stop them from doing the same in the future?"

The easiest way to solve the Big 10 problem is to transfer:
Penn State and MD to the ACC,
Ohio State and Indiana to the SEC, and
Nebraska and Iowa to the B12
That wil revert the Big 10 to Michigan, MSU, Purdue, Rutgers, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Northwestern and they can look to cajole Chicago back to Division 1.

I've been and remain a B1G critic of the B1G cancel policy, but the bolded part remains to be seen. It's 40 days until the SEC is scheduled to kick off, we'll see if it actually happens.

Same in Ohio.
Ohio has also been allowing basketball tournaments for at least a month. Unusual, because those are usually heavily restricted at this time of year. My brother is a high school coach and he says they're putting in just as much time as they normally do in the regular season.

Ohio, Maryland, Indiana and Penn states are working with the other states in the midwest and northeast. The schools are following their leadership. As it is, Iowa and Nebraska are on the restriction list to travel because of the cases are being over 20%. Plus, the campuses are now having outbreaks like North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Colorado College and others. This pandemic is forcing these games to cancel.
