Unless SEC, Big 12, ACC, Sun Belt, CUSA and AAC create their own events, no championships other than conference.

If G5 schools are left out, what is the purpose of being part of the NCAA. They should guarantee all Conference champions a spot and then eliminate the number of at-large berths if reducing participation is necessary.

Let's be precise in our language, they aren't barring G5s from participating, just lessening the number of bids.

Legally I think there would be major issues.

I also don't see a legtimate arguement of being able to do so. In nearly ever sport where the P5 doesnt have a racket (football) the G5 is competitive. If I was a G5 or other non-P5 conference I would be lawyering and lobbying up to squish this non-sense. Too many big time basketball, etc universities out there for this crap.

Let the best teams play.

If they cut them in half then give bids of conference winners first. But you know they won't.

Sure won't. TXST is used to being a 3-4 seed in volleyball after winning conference and having a top 40 RPI. Got lucky with a 2 seed recently but that is very rare.
