RE: AJ Harris
That's a huge disappointment. Wish him all the best going forward.

RE: AJ Harris
Yeah, I'm baffled by the NCAA's decision. Harris broke a finger before the start of his senior season. Then broke a bone in his foot shortly after his return in late December. It is very disappointing but NMSU does still have three guards on the roster who can play the point... Evan Gilyard, Kalen Williams, and CJ Roberts.

RE: AJ Harris
I feel bad for AJ the way his career ended. It would have been nice to see him ride off into the sunset actually playing. At the same time it’ll free up some tension on the team. I couldn’t imagine 3 senior point guards in 1 team that are all capable of starting. Plus you have a sophomore PG in which I think could be the best of the bunch. This would have been the 4 best PG’s in the conference in one team fighting for playing time. That could have been disastrous.

More like the 2nd through 5th best point guards in the conference. But other than that I see your point.

I can see that we would have had 4 of the top 5. Now we have 3 of the top 4. Levi is definitely in the mix.

Javon Levi is moving up the WAC PG totem pole. But that is because NMSU's AJ Harris didn't receive his 6th year of eligibility, Seattle's Terrell Brown decided to transfer to Arizona, Utah Valley's Brandon Averette decided to transfer to BYU, and CBU's Milan Acquaah decided to pursue a pro career now instead of return for his senior year. SO, Levi's main challenge as the premier point guard in the WAC now comes from mostly NMSU's Evan Gilyard (who is undefeated in the WAC as a starter, 16-0) and GCU's Jovan Blacksher (who was the 2020 WAC Freshman of the Year). If all the exiting PGs mentioned above had been able to play or decided to play in the WAC this season, this conference would have been a point guard dominated league. It still might be a PG driven league. But there will be a lot of new faces.

RE: AJ Harris
Losing AJ like you said is tough but we were way to guard heavy. Great young man. Nothing but the best for him
