Ford Stadium Capacity for 2020

As preparations for the 2020 season roll on, SMU Athletics is developing a ticketing and seating plan for a socially-distanced Gerald J. Ford Stadium that adheres to local and state guidelines. We expect that capacity will be reduced for at least a portion of the home season and that seating accommodations from previous years will need to be altered in an effort to promote and protect the health and safety of our fans.

First and foremost, all 2019 and 2020 season ticket holders, regardless of current renewal status, will have first right of refusal on their same seats for the 2021 season. Additionally, all 2020 football season ticket holders who renewed by August 1st, will be eligible to participate in a seat-selection process for the 2020 season in a socially-distanced Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The seat-selection process will take place in mid-August and will be based on Mustang Club Priority ranking.

At this time, we anticipate only being able to provide ticket accommodations to season ticket holders, students, faculty and staff. Those who have renewed or purchased new season tickets by August 1st are still required to participate in the seat-selection process. Any fans who wish to purchase tickets after the seat-selection process will choose from remaining inventory, should any exist.

For fans who have already renewed or purchased season tickets, more communication will be coming soon, and in the meantime please activate your account. Season ticket information is available by calling the SMU Ticket Sales Office at (214) SMU-GAME (768-4263).
