I'd be surprised if NDSU is gonna be able to find anybody to play them. Before the entire FCS season was cancelled they were trying to fill open dates----and they weren't having any luck. I saw in a tweet, they were getting low balled by P5 teams, and offered expenses only by G5 teams.

Who are they gonna play? Basically everyone in their geographic footprint has cancelled---MWC, PAC 12, Big 10. Maybe some Big 12 (Okl, Mo, Ks) Maybe an SEC (ARK)--But all P5 are conference only right now. That leaves them the AAC, Sun Belt or CUSA. Can't see most AAC, Sun Belt or CUSA teams willing to schedule a more than likely probable loss

The only way they get a game is if they pay their own way. Nobody is giving them a buy-in game, nor do I think teams would even pay the expenses for NDSU

Exactly, this is just lip service by NDSU admins saying "see we wanted to play but nobody would cover our fee request." Fortunately for them their fanbase is so dumb and full of themselves they actually believe that an ACC, Big XII or SEC school should pay the full going rate to cover them to come play "because they are NDSU".

OTOH I wish they would play ND, Oklahoma and UNC and get curb stomped by 40 in each game to shut their fans up once and for all.

When we were all hot to play an independent schedule w/ multiple FBS teams, there were more than a couple of people here who felt we'd be collecting nice checks too. I never understood this. No fans in the stadium(or a small percentage of), pretty much assured little $ beyond expenses.

And yes, it would be interesting to see the Bizon play Oklahoma and get bludgeoned.

Probably saw Cignetti's tweet and couldnt stand the thought of FBS teams not wanting to play another FCS team other than NDSU so they came out and said this

Also if they do play three games this fall and the NFL doesnt move the draft date than Lance is 100% gone.

Actually a couple years ago Verizon abandoned its E mail service and rerouted everyone with a verizon.net account through AOL. So now if I want to access my verizon.net email account I need to log into AOL. So I guess they are still around? Do miss getting the various floppies/CD's in the mail from them!!

I wonder if all of Dukeman2 ‘s threads that suggest that JMU is being left behind will slowly prove to be not applicable. I saw where the Marshall Ecu game was pushed up to Sept 12. The mass gathering restrictions for NC were just pushed to September 11th the day before the rescheduled game date.
