Main Stream Media—more panic = higher ratings = greater ability to assert influence on the public

Big Business

The Pharmaceutical Industry

Labor Unions

The Unelected Bureaucrats who suddenly have all this power due the panic

Pretty spot on. However, imo the Big winner is Pharma. They went from being demonized for the opiod crisis and having billion dollar lawsuits to now the government is giving them billions of dollars to find a vaccine.

Right—they get billions of dollars for free and then they get to turn around a make billions in profit once they concoct (what will inevitably be a grossly ineffective) vaccine that their government cronies will mandate on us.

There have been many rooting for sports to shut down, not because it might be what they truly want, but because they want to be validated and proven as right.

And now we'll get to see people who favors Spring football get poo-pood on by the ones who wanted fall football. Wash, rinse, and repeat!

No one benefits from sports shutting down especially including the media that needs content to discuss and content to drive ads. I take that back, those who wanted the end of the NCAA benefit. Emmert has been an abject failure and the NCAA has never looked more useless and impotent then it does right now as conferences and divisions fend for themselves.

If it's a permanent shutdown, this could be the impetus to lower sticker price for colleges that were heavily subsidizing their athletic programs. The reverse would be true for schools with profitable athletic programs that were returning money to their schools' general funds.

The professors who have never worked a day outside of acedemia that constantly complain about sports' budgets and sports teams being too big at universities are probably popping champagne as I type this.

I guess when it all finally goes to hell, the cockroaches and nerds will survive.
