An article on the economic impact no college football is having on businesses near ODU, HU and W&M. If you don’t read it, know that if you love PFranks like I do, we all need to do what we can to support them right now.

I think the article is a little misleading with regard to him much business was lost to not having football. Even if ODU had played, there would be small crowds and much fewer fans than normal supporting local businesses. I’m not sure they’re suffering much more than every other small business.

Can’t disagree with any of that. But regardless of the main driving force in their loss of sales or the losses other businesses are feeling, Monarch Way without PFranks would be a sadder place to a lot of us. So if you love them, show that love back right now.

That and you are only talking about a handful of games per year.

But, I know the owners and wish them well. Hope they can pull through.

Never patronized PF before so hard to say I love them. On Monarch Way I could say that for La Herradura and Raising Cane though. I’ve had takeout from RC a few times during the pandemic. I miss margaritas at LH.

There is a PF here in Great Bridge/Hickory area off Hillcrest but its owned by another ODU grad.

I remember the PF in Greenbrier across from Sam's Club; it used to be something like D'Mustard and then it became a PF. Liked them a bit more than Al's in the neighborhood.

It was owned by her ex husband. Not sure if thats still the case. But now I remember where it is.

Cutting Edge is pretty darn good. Definitely worth a visit for lunch if you’re in the greenbrier area.

Cutting Edge sounds more like a barber shop or lawn service

Its probably the best sandwich/small plate lunch spot in Chesapeake. Although Cava has my heart right now.

Cava made its way down there? They're inescapable in the DMV, and I knew they reached Richmond in the past year.

Yep. Took over from zoes kitchen in Greenbrier. And have a spot in VB

They got that latest round of funding from Steve Case and went national. From DMV to NYC, LA, and then all over. Great fusion of flavors.
