For those wondering, he retweeted Trevor Lawrence, who has been very vocal the last few days in favor of playing football.

A lot of players are speaking out. I saw one Ohio State player demanding they join the SEC...

I just saw that Frost is saying that if BIG10 cancels the season they will look for other options.. insinuating a move to another conference who is going to play football...

I hear other coaches in the BIG10 are thinking the same... what is wrong with these coaches. It seemed that every coach in the MAC took the news with confidence in the voting parties and albeit disappointed they supported the conference and the safety of the student athletes came first.
It's the presidents who will make the decision

Nebraska's president reportedly voted to play yesterday (along with Iowa's).

Could see them ally with their old conference, the Big XII, or maybe just Oklahoma and Texas to play a season.

That would be interesting. SEC is trying to put together a super conference for one season. The ratings would be through the roof.

Guess they should disband too

Edit: In all seriousness this is probably good news for the MAC holding on to some top players, who may not want to transfer to somewhere far especially with the uncertainty right now.

I want to say Ivy and MAC were the first basketball teams to pull the plug in the middle of their conference tournaments. But my memory is fuzzy. That second week of March was crazy all around.

Serious question: is the MAC merely cancelling the conference season, or is it PROHIBITING its member institutions from holding a fall football season (Or both?)

I ask because if it's the former only, I suspect Kathy could get on the phone right now and in 3 hours or less get 6-7 guarantee games lined up for this season, including home-and-homes with Nebraska and probably Iowa. Frost has already stated on the record that they'll play anyone, anywhere.

Of course no one in our athletic department has one dollop of creativity, so......

I think you're right, but I do know the MAC was before the Big 10 in that as well.

The P5 coaches have more influence and wealth, and their programs can recover easier from a financial perspective, so they can speak more freely. A lot of MAC coaches are hoping they get paid and they don’t have to lay off staff that aren’t paid 6 figures or more, so they have no incentive to speak their mind. I’m sure they are in reality split over this.

College coaches are split over this??? Hell, I’m split over this whole thing in just my own mind. I really can see the arguments on both sides. On the bright side, I guess this could be about the time for that old “fall color tour” my wife and I have talked about (and never taken) for the past 30+ Bronco FB seasons. What a bizarre, strange and hopefully once in a lifetime year. By the way, I think I saw that the PAC 12 cancellation is for ALL sports through the end of 2020. Is that right? Including non-conference BB too?

Regardless of that, our president voted to cancel so I highly doubt there's any institutional support for that kind of thing. I was wondering if it'd be worth taking the quick trip to ND for that guarantee $$ but it sounds like that wasn't considered.
