40-6 they beat us in 1996. I was very young. They gave us three games from 89-96. Must have been trying to win back some from the mbb loss they took in 76.

Back a few years, Toledo tried to get MSU to come to the Glass Bowl. We tried several times and they kept saying no. We even offered a 3 for 1 (3 games at MSU for 1 at Toledo). They refuse to come to the Glass Bowl to play us.

Maybe it was the Saban connections which killed the dialogue? In the end I don't really care as long as they schedule us in the future up in East Lansing. I was really looking forward to that tailgate.

Purdue also played in the Glass Bowl, but most P5 teams are going to demand 2 for 1 and we'll still need to schedule FCS teams or only have 5 home games. you and I might be willing to settle for 5 home games but majority rules and the majority wants 6 home games. We could do away with playing P5 teams but I want to contend for a New Years game and the only way that happens is to play and defeat a P5 team. This has been discussed ad nauseum and there's no point to whining about playing FCS teams.
