So the MAC versus the SWAC in the spring of 2021. Man I can’t wait for those action pack games!

RE: MAC cancels fall football
I watched some MAC football last season. I have to admit, it was some of the most restful sleep I've had in a while.

Just say NO to Tuesday Wednesday games.
I am 100% with you in a normal year, but if we end up with no fans, or 20% capacity, I say any night is fine because we will be watching from home. Just make it a one-year thing.

RE: MAC cancels fall football
Really haven't though much about MWC. But, dominoes can fall if SDSU, Fresno, SJSU & Hawaii don't play. Guess Boise, UNLV, Nevada Reno, Utah St, CSU, & AFA could regroup for the fall. Curious to see if CUSA is officially a "GO"when the end of August gets here. As a fan of FB, I will be pleasantly surprised if any Non-Cartel conference (other than maybe AAC) plays in 2020.

Have you ever considered bottling yourself up as Liquid Sunshine? I think you could make a ton!
I can't do anything about the fantasy land you live in. Feel free to come join reality. I'm one of the few who said this in March, and I have simply been consistent for five months. I can't help that bothers you.

I think we may have a national champion with a 4-0 record. I can see a start without a finish this year.

Not a G5 champ, of course. It would be awarded to an 0-0 Alabama team, that didn’t play this Fall, based on the playoff committee vote.

BTW, if not obvious that’s referring to our chances at a national title.
It gets better though. Some play in the fall and some in the spring and both semesters someone declares a national title. That would totally suit how college football works.

and you know she is not how? she got games on the NFL network without holding a press conference to let us know she was speaking to them.

This year will make or break Judy as a commissioner. If she follows the lemmings off the cliff without a fight, or some out of the box thinking, it will be curtains for her even with the bow ties....

RE: MAC cancels fall football
Serious question. Everybody knows that "football drives the bus" in college athletics. We've all heard it said a thousand times. At almost every school, the revenues from football are used to support other sports, particularly Olympic sports.
With this in mind, how will the MAC schools support its' other sports this coming school year if they don't have a single dime of revenue coming in from football? Are the MAC schools going to shut down every sport for the upcoming year?

Yes. They did it in Spring (hell, we all did it) why not Fall? Frankly, it's the smart move. They can make the same argument they made for football to trim the expense of running other programs.

Plus they're keeping the door open for spring football. There's a whole mess of logistics hurdles to clear, even if the virus is in check by then, so I doubt it'll happen myself. But the option's there.

Not a good look for them.
The MAC is terrible anyway. It is like watching a game at half-speed. I noticed this from the MAC teams Tech has dominated over the years.
Yes there are 2 or 3 decent programs with talent. Ohio, Central Michigan.
Their best team went 8-6 last year and lost 27-17 to ULL. That is downright pitiful
Lets not forget Buffalo, im sure Charlotte hasnt. Neither has FAU.

RE: MAC cancels fall football
What makes us think that things will be better in the spring? It seems to me that not long ago there was some expectation that things would be better in the summer. Now it seems that we are banking on a vaccine along with some measure of herd immunity to provide hope that things will return to normal by the spring. I am generally known as an optimist; however, I am getting the feeling that we may be still wrestling with COVID 19 in the spring.
