The [Kent] Record-Courier updated their website. Looks like the RC sports section is no longer interested in KSU. But they do have a BuckeyeXtra link.

They got bought out by the same company that owns the beacon journal. And they decided to cut 250-300 million from their overall budget. I don't think they care about local news anymore.

I wonder if the Record-Courier, or ANY northeast Ohio newspaper, will have someone at the very least go to the games and report on them. It would be astonishing, and maybe even unprecedented, if a hometown newspaper were not to cover D I college sports in their own town. We may have to be content with a brief AP report and the Daily Kent Stater. Fans of OSU football need not worry, though. I'm sure the coverage of them will be more extensive than ever, maybe even surpassing coverage of the Browns, that is if they haven't already.

Reporting of KSU athletics has gone into a black hole. RC, PD, & Beacon Journal are hopeless. Daily Kent Stater (kentwired.com) has dated articles from April. In this new world, I rely on Twitter for news.
