can't wait to see folks sitting out there with it in the 90's and the humidity roaring at a nice 80% and wearing their Chinese mask.

btw ... are the officials and coaching staff wearing mask as well???????

I’ve been to football games in freezing temperatures wearing a face covering (mask), so there’s that. Don’t underestimate sports fans.

I'll be shocked if they get even halfway through the FB season without having to shut it down.

Best case scenario is the virus suddenly and rapidly dies out over the next 6-8 weeks. I hope that happens but it looks highly unlikely as of today.

Great communication plan - props to the athletic department

1) Contrary to opinion, the limitations of seats in the current status that exists today of 12 foot separation "at best" will only be roughly 2500 tickets in the bowl. How many individual games that means for most can't be provided because until after decisions are made by people there is no insight outside of a game for each person in the bowl. If only 2500 tickets which probably amounts to 1000 season ticket holders take the right option all of them will be there for what would most likely be the entire season. If all take the option then there are limitations based on seating that would limit it to one game most likely with only 2500 people in the bowl.

2) We are currently under the 12 foot situation, they are hoping for better but have no insight as of now.

3) Club seating will be based on priority and go from there.

4) All seating is based on priority based on where you seats will be

5) Suites are open and ask that you only bring people you have been around and or family etc

6) Don't confuse that if you are a season ticket holder (doesn't matter where) and you go in with someone who buys them for you, they are the ones who have the option if its in their name.

I think the AD and the staff did a great job of providing a creative option for people.

I agree. They are making the best of a bad situation.

I am letting them keep my money and hoping to go to the one game of my choice this year. Ticket price is now locked in for next year.

I've enjoyed years of Tiger Football and the program is by far the best it has ever been. I want more great years going forward, so I am going to make a small sacrifice to help insure the future of our program. Hopefully, things will be back to normal by the next season.

Go Tigers!

RE: Keep Memphis Roaring - COVID Plan
Tiger Football has been the best deal in town for a long time, and they haven’t really asked that much of us as fans. The seats that require per seat donation are low dollar amounts compared to basketball. In my memory they have come to us for one capital campaign (IPF).

LV sent out a video asking us to choose option one because this is important. They have cut $4M from the budget, but even if they don’t play a game this season they need the season ticket revenue to keep the athletic department afloat.

Choose option one. You have already budgeted and spent the money. It doesn’t matter if they play a game. It doesn’t matter if you get to see a game. It doesn’t matter where your seats are located if they offer them. Tiger Football has asked very little of us and given us a lot in return, and now they are asking us for help.

So my wife got the email, I guess I need to check my profile, I know TSF and HH email us both.

We are on the cusp of greatness here and I've waited 45 years for what we experienced at the Cotton Bowl.

I believe this staff is going to take us to an even higher level (the next Louisville, worst case Boise State?) if we can come through this with a full athletic dept.

OPTION 1!

If you do nothing, please note the choice will be made for you. The default for non-responders is "opt-in" for 6 feet and "donation" for 12 feet.

Out of laziness, I am doing nothing. 03-wink

Quote:The deadline to make your selections is Wednesday, August 19. Those who do not make their selections by the deadline will be automatically enrolled in the “opt-in” to socially distanced seats in the 6-feet scenario and in the “donate” option in the 12-feet scenario. Again, please look for your email and website link where you can choose your preferred option.

Yep I've been there doing the same as well. But when it's cold it's just a little different and that is voluntary and NOT mandatory. You can normally warm up a heck of lot faster than cool down.

And if mask work so well then why are they releasing prisoners instead of issuing them mask? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm????????

RE: Keep Memphis Roaring - COVID Plan
If I am reading the requirements right, the SCHD will require a positivity rate of below 5% for 4 weeks before the 12 ft requirement can be reduced to 6ft.

Considering that you are telling only people who are showing symptoms or have been exposed to get tested, it seems nearly impossible to get a percentage that low.

We should all go get tested in Shelby County 20 times a day to lower the positivity rate

You shift the decimal right two places when converting to percentages.
