Good choice since UAB is a good G5 team and has a medical school to help monitor player’s health.

If the American had any clue, they'd add UAB in a heartbeat. Geographically friendly; football hotbed; new commitment to the sport by the school; new football stadium opening this year (or next) ....

I really like their football coach too. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Auburn in the near future.

Good choice for Miami.

I agree, makes sense geographically too. FB crazy area but Birmingham will support them enough to get 25K crowds

Especially in a new stadium, and not a cavernous dump.

Maybe UAB getting crapped on a few years back turned out to be the best thing for them. New facilities can make a big difference, and it seems like restarting the program was the catalyst for getting those facilities built.
