BREAKING: UM's non-conference game is going to be UAB. The only other option in the past week was Temple. ACC teams playing one non-conference game and 10 conference games. This comes via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald

That won't matter in my opinion. They had way more talent then us last year. The difference is coaching. Manny Diaz was one of the best DC we ever had but he has a major culture problem on Coral Gables right now. They don't have the same fighting spirit that we all remember.

I don't even see this game being played. However, if it is played though advantage UAB because we're used to playing in a stadium with only 25% capacity of fans. Just sayin'.......

I wonder how wide spread that attitude will be on all teams. With all the BLM stuff going on, I wonder if there will be more division within a team or if they'll rise above it. I used to think of sports teams like military units where they worked together for a common goal and skin color wasn't an issue. Now that division is trendy again will it make that impossible? It's like they undiscovered the wheel and set civilization back 70 years.

Despite the strange political turn in this thread, I am looking forward to seeing UAB at Miami and hope my Canes win big :). The team will be much improved this year and I do not foresee a repeat of the FIU fiasco, which is a unique situation given the local rivalry.

UAB needs to stay away from the Marlin Players, don't go out partying it up before their big game. The G5 doesn't have many games vs the P5, make it count and win.

Not political...it's football related. And it was based on what Pilot said about the culture there. Even if these games are played they may not be what they once would have been, between the greedy players and the "oppressed." Just wondering what people thought about that. Just because you want to bury the **** in the litter box doesn't mean you still don't have to deal with that same **** one day.

Some Miami players are opting out for the season reportedly.
