Events lose hype and spectacle without the crowds. You want to feel like you’re there, but you don’t want to feel like you’re there alone.

I don't know. I've watched baseball games when there were few there. I've watched golf for years and never notice the crowd (until someone hits an errant shot). In fact, golf viewing is up big time in the past couple of months.
I'm watching baseball, golf, fights, and a little NASCAR. But I'm sure not into NBA right now. I wonder if it's more the seasonality than the crowds.

It's the same with baseball, too, I read.

Yep. People watch sports for enjoyment. No one cares or wants to hear and see all the political displays. That’s why they are watching.

That's not even remotely true.

People tune out without crowds. Weird but it checks out. All ratings are down.

Crowds make a big diff. huge. When they have those conference tournaments that draw no crowds...it's boring. The players aren't into it as much either. T

Players are performers. Performers need live audiences.

where'd that weird T come from?

You know where that T came from - you were going to type “TrUeTh”, weren’t you? 03-lmfao

And a lot of it has to do with the athletes kneeling and their political stances. People are tired of the disrespect they show. Believe it or not.

Dame put one in Martins eye from the corner...I don't think I saw Martin anymore that game.

Sometimes there is nothing you can do.
