Shamelessly trying to keep alive lawsuit possibilities against P5 for canceling Buy games.

Totally correct. It's a Hail Mary for money. But it comes at great long term cost in animosity. Who among the P5 would ever schedule a CUSA or SBC school again except at a steeply discounted price?

The SBC wouldn’t sue the school; individual schools would. From a South Alabama perspective, we are not seeking money from the canceled game with Grambling, and we are actively in discussions with Florida about what to do with our canceled game.

It's a dangerous game you are playing. I would never schedule a school that decided to go the route of litigation.

Yes, the danger here for G5 who depend on buy games is that, even if they do not try to litigate these canceled games, that the P5 conferences that play conference-only schedules this year will find that they like this, that they don't really need the buy games, and might decide to make it a permanent feature going forward. Or with OOC against only other P5.

So I'm not sure I'd want to incentivize that thinking by wrassling over the canceled games.

We will see what other schools decide to do. South Alabama is not looking to sue anyone.

This threat is on the table either way. the "what if" game is in full effect. in truly uncertain times, there are more problems than solutions.

Per FBSchedules.com, Middle Tennessee Director of Athletics Chris Massaro says they intend to play a home-and-home series with Troy in 2020. Plan is to play in Murfreesboro in the season opener either Sept. 5 or Sept. 19, and in Troy on Nov. 21.

Not until ESPN and Fox pay them for it.
