2. Clemson University
Social life at Clemson revolves around the school's football team, a posse with a storied heritage. Saturdays in the fall are dedicated to following the exploits of the Tigers. When not rooting for the home team at "Death Valley," students go downtown on the weekends. Post-game parties are a popular diversion, and fraternities play a large role in students' social lives.
Yep, sounds like a :D

When analysts look at the academic standards of institution in relation to athletics, they always make the mistake of applying the same standards across the board.
What I mean is.......they act as though the tough academic standards apply to athletes just as they do the regular student body......and we all know that's a bunch of baloney. So, in reality, what the standards of academics are at a given institution mean NOTHING when you're talking about athletics. The key question is: How many of these "standards" do these institutions apply towards their athletes? Or do they have a Tennessee-style "tutor" program ?
Michigan, for example, is considered one of the top academic institutions in the nation. But I don't think any of the "Fab 5" are exactly in the running for winning the Nobel Prize for revolutions in rocket science.
In essence, all of these arguments about who has the toughest academics are bogus and a waste of time. Everyone's cheating.......probably even right now as we speak.
