Fauci's approval ratings are absolutely mind-boggling. The man has been wrong about just about everything, but he has emerged as some sort of folk hero. In fact, the whole public health policy team of "experts" have pretty much screwed the pooch across the board. The vaunted "Pandemic Response Roadmap" is clearly a bureaucratic document and not an emergency response document. The "experts" opposed shutting down air travel from China. Hell, I think you shut down air travel from everywhere, except that by law you probably have to allow US citizens to return. Fauci said early on that it wouldn't be a big deal. Then the models projected millions dying, and they didn't really seem to have a handle on how to lower the number except a complete shutdown, which probably wreaked more havoc on the economy than the virus would have done on society if left unchecked. It became pretty obvious early on that there were some key steps--keep older and at-risk people isolated, wear masks, and practice social distancing where possible. Had we simply done those things, we could probably have kept about 98% of the economy open and done no worse than we did. But the "experts" never recommended that.

Geopolitical consultant George Friedman (former founder of STRATFOR) has written of a struggle in the USA between expertise and common sense. I think this is one case where we would have been better off with less expertise and more common sense. At the very least, get some practicing physicians on the team instead of being led by somebody who hasn't seen a patient in decades.

I think Fauci is largely a creation of the MSM, who view anyone who opposes Trump on anything as the second coming of the messiah.

We gotta keep them locked in and kids outta school, can't let their business open back up. All until Nov. 3 when this will all go away if OUR guy gets elected. It will be the miracle of miracles. No more covid, it served its purpose. Then, millions of still terrified sheeple will wake up on Nov. 4 and go....."what happened?" They are so cowed that they will be unable to put the pieces together, connect the dots and realize that they have been had.

Tucker Carlson roasted Fauci last night as an outright fraud. He may be a bureaucrat but he IS political, even though he tries to act as if he is not. He played the clip from the congressional hearing where Jordan tried to get him to say the protests were not OK from a health standpoint but Fauci refused and turned into a bowl of quivering jelly. Was pretty obvious after watching that.
