NBA's return
Anyone see the trash they put out on TV the last few nights?

I fully expected it to be highly political but WOW, the game itself was utterly meaningless.

Black Lives matter was painted on the courts, ALL players and coaches took a knee for the anthem. Throughout the entire game its was one huge woke BLM propaganda fest.

I can't even put it into words how over the top it was.

And these are the same crowd in bed with China and don't have a WORD to say about the Chinese government or the people it oppresses.

They turn a blind eye to rake in billions from China, and spend every waking moment screaming how evil, oppressive and racist America is.

I have not watched a full NBA game since Jordan played. I dislike the style of play, and now politics has taken over which assures I not watch. They have every right to do it, like I have every right to turn it off.

I wanted to see how political they would make it, and it was 10 times worse than I could have imagined.

There are no words I can find to fully describe it, its something you have to see to believe.

RE: NBA's return
Its no secret that these NBA players are living the most privileged lives anyone has ever lived. Their entire life is real life rap video of drugs, drunken parties, orgies, treating and using women like they are not even human, and being treated like gods by everyone around them.

And these clowns have the gall to preach to us about social justice and equality?

I can't wait to see these guys on judgment day standing before the Father having to answer for their lives and hypocrisy along with all the Hollywood pedos.

I can't thank you enough for dragging the Bible into this, I was dying to quote some relevant scripture. You tee'd me up perfectly. 04-cheers

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. Eph 5:11

As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all,
so that the rest may stand in fear. 1 Tim 5:20

You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil?
For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matt 12:44

But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? Act 13:9-10

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 5:44

There are countless verses of Jesus and Paul calling the religious leaders and politicians of the day liars, snakes, deceivers, lustful drunken corrupters, fornicators and a whole host of other things.

A born again Christian does not defile himself by calling out the hypocrites of society on their hypocrisy and evil deeds. In fact the Bible teaches us to stand up to those people and their deceptions.

If you are going to quote scripture then don't rip it out of context to attack people for speaking the truth.

"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” John 7:24

Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to judge trivial cases? 1 Cor 6:2

If you had actually read that passage you quoted you would have known its telling you not to be a hypocrite in your judgements. Its NOT telling Christians to never judge, in fact Jesus taught us specifically to judge and discern all things and make righteous judgments on them, not in hypocrisy.

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."

If you are going to so grossly distort that verse for dishonest reasons, rest assure I will expose you on it every time.

And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.” Mark 7:20-23

If you are going to quote scripture, know what you are quoting.

A Christian does not defile himself by calling out evil people for evil and dishonest deeds that corrupt millions of people around the world. In fact that is the very thing scripture calls us to do in this world.

We are to discern and judge righteously, exposing the hypocrisy and wickedness we see in the world. You should read what the OT prophets said when exposing the rich and powerful's wickedness, corruption and hypocrisy in their time.

Righteous indignation is not evil, the Bible shows us this time and time again. Even Jesus Himself.

Like others I have not the NBA in years. It’s got a niche demographic- mostly young, urban males who are deeply into hip-hop culture. I’m not that young anymore and I have lived in the suburbs for 20 years.

The thing is the league will probably not lose viewers, because the same audience that has been watching will continue fo do so and the ones that have not will continue to not watch.

If you had asked me last week I would have said the same thing. I'm not so sure after what I saw the last 2 days.

Lets not kid ourselves, their TV audience is not just young urban black males, its a lot bigger than just that. There is no way they are not going to alienate or just flat turn off some viewers. I usually watch the conf championships and finals, but I won't be if this is what they are going to do. There is no way I can sit through that.

Apparently, one black player chose to not wear a BLM shirt and stood for the national anthem. After the game, a reporter had the gall to ask him, “Do black lives matter?” And the left has called him all kinds of nasty names simply because he refused to be a part of their stunt.

Let me rephrase, when i mean young urban males I did not mean just black. I mean 18-34 year old whites (many of whom grew up in the suburbs) who moved into the city and/or its neighborhoods after college.

RE: NBA's return
My son turned on the Lakers-Clippers game the other night just because he was so sports starved he just wanted something to cling to, I guess. He doesn't even really give a crap about the NBA.

While we had to adjust to the players new last names on the backs of their jerseys, it just seemed like we were watching an AAU game. Sports just aren't sports without fans.

And how about those video boards with the Max Headroom-like fans they put on there? ... CREEPY

We are living in an Orwellian world where groupthink is taking over and shaming those who have different ideas and opinions into submission and silence.

I was just reading about him. His response can be summed up to something I have posted before, one can at the same time agree that black lives matter and at the same time disagree with Black Lives Matter. The two are not the same thing.

You didn't just call our hypocrisy. You called someone you don't know at all a scumbag for doing something that you didn't have to pay any attention to.

You twist the Bible any way you want, don't you?

If Jesus decides to call someone a liar or a fool, that carries the same weight as God doing it. News flash - you're not God or Jesus. You're also not perfect and should be forgiven for the base nature that you're displaying here.

I think that is the basic position of almost everyone who is against this Marxist garbage.

99% of black lives are taken by another black or an abortion clinic. The woke BLM movement does not care about the 99% of black lives on any level.

They are liars and anarchists with an obviously destructive political agenda, and people like LeBron James are some of their strongest supporters and spokesmen.
