In the case of a 10 game conference only schedule. SMU would have replaced North Texas and Texas State with UCF and USF. A lot more travel and more potential to contract COVID-19. Plus potentially not being Bowl Eligible.

nowhere, just reading on sports opinons around the web..half the tie-ins are dead (half the conferences not playing), the idea of bringing large crowds to a nuetral, the point of bowls to increase travel...

A lot of good points. Definitely no need for so many bowls, but TV money could still be good. I'm sure ESPN and the NCAA will work something out for this season. A lot can happen between now and December/January so I wouldn't cast anything in stone just yet.

They’re not pointless to the non-profit agencies in those communities. Bowl games are significant donors to those organizations.

Nothing is stopping people from donating to those organizations anyways.

I like your AD, I had a feeling he would get it back. Now if the ACC will give ND and Navy the all clear I would feel a lot better about the season. An OU person told me Tulsa is their back up if their current game falls through. May not even be true, but still would be nice.
