New CNN contributor Bob Costas on Thursday said that the NCAA pushing forward with plans to play football amid the coronavirus pandemic was "unconscionable," noting the student-athletes are unpaid and don't have a "union to protect them" under the circumstances.

Maybe things will work out okay. But I think it will likely be, at best, a mess if not a disaster.

Given the track record of MLB in its first week, hard to argue with your statement!

Been watching baseball and being entertained.
Watched live NBA basketball yesterday. It was the Utah Team that Rayjon plays on. It was very entertaining with the piped in crowd noise and the virtual fans at Disneyworld. I enjoyed these basketball games more than the regular games, which I rarely watch.

So far I think the NBA is the only sports organization that appears to be doing things right. Seeing how the MLB season and early NCAA football workouts are going, the only effective way to get a season is to bubble everyone. Bubbling can only be done by professional organizations though since there are less teams than the collegiate organizations. At this point, it’s probably better just to be patient and wait for a vaccine instead of doing all of this planning for a lost season.

MLS has done a phenomenal job and has been really exciting to watch.

Our governor's allowing high school football also appears to meet the definition of unconscionable. Who believes this will end well?

Asa telling High School football players to be sure to put their masks back on after they take their helmet off after practice was right out of the Twilight Zone!

Buy some walking shoes or a bike and get outside. Tv sports are dead for the next 18 months.

Sidenote

When sports started taking a knee a few years ago, I took a pass and just moved on. I don’t miss the nba, nfl, etc...

One day I hope these ‘role models’ get up off a knee and take action by objectively looking at the issues that hold their community back and addressing them which is Poverty

Form locally owned businesses
Employee local labor
Fund with local capital

The 1st change will have to be leaders that don’t profit off of poverty but will lead a path to prosperity not hate.

Forgive my tangent
