You do understand why our economy has tanked, right? Or am I expecting too much from you? Red states seem to be doing OK though, blue states, not so much.

He's an embarrassment to Memphis fans. He once proudly bragged about getting food stamps while being a student at Memphis.... and it's wasn't because he was poor... he's a Germantown silver spoon punk.

amusing as that's exactly how I feel about you.

there is a difference between bragging and saying I support the SNAP Program because I've been out of work before and lived below the poverty line. I had Unemployment and Food Stamps for a few months until I found work.

My parents do live out in Germantown and I visit them often...that doesn't mean I simply expect them to pay my bills if I lose a job. That's not their responsibility.

I have no problem with any of that. But you completely ignored my assertion that you were going to college and getting food stamps.

yes, I worked while in college...yes, I lost a job while in college...yes, I received unemployment and food stamps while in college and looking for work.

It's one of the reasons I support SNAP. I've seen it work for someone...that someone was me.

So you believe in Hand Up's not Hand Out's?

Name one thing Donald Trump shut down. I'll hang up and wait for your answer.

He shutdown air travel from China....

Of course the Dems will not bring that up other than he did waaaay too late. I heard Nancy tell us that.

She had to take a break from telling everyone to not be racist and go celebrate in Chinatown to say that, while Dementia Sloe was calling it xenophobic. The left is so stupid.

And people wonder why not everyone believes everything "the experts" say.

People conveniently forget that. But then after things slowed down Fauci and Trump made the mistake of saying they thought it would stop at 60,000. Cuomo still wasn't done killing people at that point and spreading the virus around the rest of the country.

Actually those figures were projected if the country did nothing to abate this..but lets not let the facts get in the way of a political agenda.

I actually think that the numbers of murders by Cuomo and his ilk at nursing homes should not be included in the numbers or at least when announcing how many died by the Chiflu that to make a point of the number of those from nursing homes. Those governors SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO POO-POO THE MURDERS THEY COMMITTED. It should be out in the open.

I tell you these Cons are sometimes so stupid, they don't know how to fight dirty. I wish I was hired to help. I'd have the Demons crying.

Speaking of economy... I'm still mad I didn't jump on Kodak stock after their announcement.. from $2.54 to upwards of $33 at some point.. (although I think it's settled back down to in the low 20's)

Not going to dump anything. There may be a temporary sell off giving uncertainty over corp tax rates, etc but if one is in it for the long term their best bet, IMO, is to use that as a buying opportunity and keep on keeping on as usual.

These are real conversations happening right now.

Sloe would one thing. Control of both houses of congress as well, and katy-bar the door. Think "wealth" tax, cause you didn't earn that, you took it from someone.

Pay the Feds, pay the State and pay the Local and still manage to put a little something away? Watched it grow over 10, 20, 30 yrs? Well, you didn't "earn that like working people", you just got lucky in life's lottery.

Now, hand it over. 05-mafia

In a round about way, the above is why I went with a traditinal 401k over a Roth when I started my new job last year. I don't trust the govt to not change the tax laws in the future.

I will be liquidating my investment grade 401K holdings in about 2 weeks. I plan to hold them in a straight bond fund(s) until the dust settles with Covid in the spring. I made back most of my March & April hits.

The unfortunate truth is that the markets are being propped up by hopes and prayers for a vaccine/cure. Even if that happens in the next 6 months, the baseline financials cannot possibly support the PE values for the immediate future.

Vaccine does not correlate into sustainable and growing EPS again. It will take a long time for real net cash flow to begin again.

All of that makes sense and not knowing your timeframe for retirement may make perfect sense. I have at least a decade or two left so I've found it lucrative to keep steady, take the short term hits, and reap the gains that eventuall follow on the upswing.
