You're running a close second to your buddy up there^ Almost every city that's shut down is democrat controlled. You do understand why our economy has tanked, right? Or am I expecting too much from you? Red states seem to be doing OK though, blue states, not so much.

He's an embarrassment to Memphis fans. He once proudly bragged about getting food stamps while being a student at Memphis.... and it's wasn't because he was poor... he's a Germantown silver spoon punk.

amusing as that's exactly how I feel about you.

there is a difference between bragging and saying I support the SNAP Program because I've been out of work before and lived below the poverty line. I had Unemployment and Food Stamps for a few months until I found work.

My parents do live out in Germantown and I visit them often...that doesn't mean I simply expect them to pay my bills if I lose a job. That's not their responsibility.

I have no problem with any of that. But you completely ignored my assertion that you were going to college and getting food stamps.

yes, I worked while in college...yes, I lost a job while in college...yes, I received unemployment and food stamps while in college and looking for work.

It's one of the reasons I support SNAP. I've seen it work for someone...that someone was me.

Yep..Its unfortunate. The economy was doing pretty well before the industrialized world was stricken with a modern plague. Hopefully this is a wake up call for everyone around the globe and steps can be taken to be better prepared for the next one and avert the economic impact it caused. Pointing fingers is useless and unless you want point it at yourself?...quite hypocritical. We need to come together and put into place protocols to protect us in the future.

No, hopefully we learned a lesson to not shut down our economy for a virus with a death rate of less than .5%.

And a virus that is about 10 times less deadly to kids than the common flu.

This is the largest "sheep" experiment in U.S. history. And it was a a ROUSING SUCCESS.

Im not going to engage in that debate. You may be right or wrong...either way... Its a moot point now. It is clear that we were not prepared strategically for this. We lacked stockpiles of necessary medical supplies and were poorly prepared logistically.

Dude, protocols and all that BS doesn't matter. It's all about politics. If an R is in office, the D's and the D media will go nuclear to maximize everything to their political benefit no matter the situation.

This "pandemic" is proof. It is 1,000% about getting the Republican president out of office.

There is no doubt that the Democrats are trying to use this to their benefit. We don't disagree on that. The old adage of "Never let a crisis go to waste" is fully in effect here. My point had nothing to do with that. Im talking about things that should have been done to not let this schit happen in the first place. Im talking about public health policy..not politics.

It’s amazing that Trump also caused Germany to have a record GDP drop also.

There is no way Biden can seriously tout a failing economy as a black mark against Trump considering the root cause for why the recession started in the first place.

Exactly...
Thankfully Americans are smart enough to know that.
If anything the Left better be careful trying to weaponize a global medical crisis.

Terrible troll job. How else is the economy going to respond when everything is shut down. At least OP acknowledges this is what the Democrats wanted given the campaign Biden attachment.

So... We should just put our heads up our asses and hope for the best the next time one of these outbreaks occurs? There is no doubt everyone was caught off guard by this. Im not for pointing fingers at anyone. All Im suggesting is we try to learn something from this outbreak that could help us in the future. The amount of nonchalance about this from some people is amazing to me.

Name one thing Donald Trump shut down. I'll hang up and wait for your answer.

He shutdown air travel from China....

Of course the Dems will not bring that up other than he did waaaay too late. I heard Nancy tell us that.
