RE: Ginsburg in again
Though I seldom agree with her, I see her as an American icon. A symbol of our American Supreme Court.
Unlike liberals I won’t wish for her death like they have Judge Kavanaugh, Baron Trump or his Mom.
That’s the difference between those of us on the Right and the enemy....
Get well soon Judge Ginsburg

Great jurist. I don’t have to agree with her to say that. I respect her. She needs to hang it up by the end of 2020.

Not a fan of the Notorious RBG but..I give her respect. She is a tough old broad. I don't wish her any ill will. I hope she recovers.

Hope she's okay and recovers from her various ailments. She's a tough lady.

SCOTUS is not in session nor reviewing cases for the rest of the year correct (or at least until mid October)? So her current absence (besides her presence as an icon) isn't being missed at the court level correct?

I'm ignorant as to court proceedings aside from October --> June/July going ons.

This is the period they review, chat and draft.

Her clerks are doing all of that and have been for a while. It’s a strange system.

If anyone thinks for a second that RBG is not a HUGE reason the Democrats want to unseat Trump at any cost? You are not thinking clearly. I hope she does..I would never wish any medical issue on my worst enemy...but..the probability of her still being on the court in the next 3 years is really slim. Her replacement will define the court for decades.

If we can’t get term limits, let’s set an age cap. There is one on the front end for President...why shouldn’t there be one on the back end for all the Washington DC critters? Make it 80. Reduce this crap where people are holding on for political purposes only.

Maybe there should be a 3 strikes (hospitalizations) and you're out rule.

Illness shouldn’t be a preclusion. Advanced age and continual incapacity due to illness should be.

She doesn't need that much capacity. All she has ever needed to vote is to be pointed to the furthest extreme left position of every issue always.

Ginsburg is now the human equivalent of the NASCAR car that's been in a wreck, has the fenders torn off and is just running some laps with duct tape holding the doors on.

She has to pit every few laps or so to make sure nothing's loose or leaking.

I just remember that case about 5 or 6 years ago. Think it was a voting rights case. And she displayed just how much she hated the people of Alabama in her language. That was when it was clear to be she needed to step down.

Every now and then she will stand for people against the government, but mostly you can just figure out what progressives want and that is where her vote will be. Of course, I far prefer her to Sotomayor who really doesn't seem to care about the law at all.

I do hope she recovers and gets to experience President Trump's reelection in November.

Traditionally she used reason and precedent for her positions...I don’t sweat her for the positions she has taken...unlike the hot mess Sotamayor who had less judicial experience than the folks who run mayor’s traffic court when she was appointed.

I’d take RBG for the next decade in the cryogenic chair with colored lights to give answers that the guy James T. Kirk replaced than be forced to read another 2L level opinion by Sotamayor.

I will say that on the only SCt case that I have ever been involved in (amicus brief), we won 5-4 and Sotomayor voted for us and Ginburg against. But I will agree that the "wise Latina" hasn't been very wise very often.
