Trump really knows how to get the left going. Obama claimed there will be voter suppression and that the election will be a farse, so Teump tweets and now the dems are now against delaying elections....

I think the left and right give Trump too much credit as far as overall intelligence goes. He's living in the moment and he's not confident in a win. He's not being devious and I doubt that he's trying to distract.

Overall intelligence, perhaps... but the average voter isn't that intelligent. He certainly seems to know enough about the electoral process to have completely snookered Hillary and the DNC in 2016.

But he beat Hillary last time and is now running against IMO, an even worse candidate. The biggest thing Biden had going for him in 2016 was sympathy and his ties to Obama... which seem gone now and highly strained at best respectively.

Kinda weird the Democrats and media are doing the same thing they did last election. "Will Trump accept the results of the Election 'if' he loses?" That didn't work so well last time. Also we know the previous administration was doing everything in their power to keep him from winning and even after he won were actively trying to get him out of office during the dead period, but Trump is going to affect the election? Sounds like desperation on the Democrat side to me. If they were so confident in winning why are they putting doubt in the election. I don't ever remember any Republicans ever disputing the results of a Presidential election. That's a Democrat thing.

They didn't necessarily dispute the results, but some disputed the constitutionality of the Barack Obama election (including Donald Trump) in gradually smaller numbers until after Trump took office. It led to a good number of "what a natural born citizen actually is" discussions here.

Nope presidential election has to take place in 2020 and Trump has no authority to delay it. Trump is preparing to lose, he want to make Trumpers doubt the legitimacy and integrity of our election. I would think conservatives would be up in arms about the mere suggestion of this.

Others here have said it but my take is he did this knowing that heads would be exploding on the left. Sadly, some GOP voters had the same reaction. But he anticipates their response and yanks that string, knowing what is coming. Then he grins - "do I know them or what?"

Trump knows that he doesn't have the power to do this but put it out there to get a reaction. With the left writing columns lately about what if DT loses and refuses to leave, he knows that this will blow up and show once again how looney they are. He gets the left time and time again to show how unhinged from reality they are. This is just another example of him throwing chum in the water, knowing that they can't resist.

This was stupid to put out. Simple as that.
