Time to Dust Off Your PowerPoint
Notre Dame joining the ACC for 20-21.

If they stick (a big if) after June 21, an expansion to 16 is very possible.

I'd rank Cincy ahead of UCF as likely candidates.

IF, and that is a huge if I would pull for Cincy. Nice bridge for us.

UCF provides nothing ( no Offense), Florida is covered by the ACC.

RE: Time to Dust Off Your PowerPoint
I’ve always felt Cincinnati was the logical #16 if Notre Dame goes full ACC. Great recruiting state, bridges to ND and Louisville geographically, existing rivalries with Louisville and Pitt, strong academics, strong revenue sports, good media market...

June 30th IIRC is generally the end of a school year. I'm assuming ND signed on to join through June 30, 2021.

Cincy has a puncher's chance to be in the ACC within 5 years IMHO.

Get out the Nippert expansion plans.

FL is ACC via FSU and UM, so UCF bring nothing and FSU and UM unlikely to be supportive. Way behind UC academics.

UC brings an OH school. UC bridges UL and ND.

UConn is out. UMass no way qualified and BC would oppose.

USF see UCF.

Memphis no way. Tulane no way. BSU, BYU are too west.

Temple might be best choice besides UC due to location. They worry me.

Now will ND stay as full ACC. They still can play their big OOC games v USC, MI, Stanford, Navy.

ND must play OCC in state? Cannot be IU or PU. Ball State I think is only BCS. FCS would be IN State.

I think the game has to be in their home state - opponent doesn't necessarily have to be from there. They could play at Lucas Oil against Hawaii if they want.

From this ESPN article:

"All ACC schools and Notre Dame will play 10 conference games plus one nonconference game of their choosing...The nonconference game must take place in the home state of the ACC institution, and all nonconference opponents must have met the medical protocol requirements as agreed upon by the ACC during the coronavirus pandemic."

Might give us the ability to replace the Nebraska game...just sayin'. Did somebody say keg of nails!? Or the Pittsburgh paddle-thingy trophy? Or the new Touchdown Jesus Jimmy Nippert trophy?

This is nothing more than a temporary fix for that spoiled school. The minute this is over they’re going back to independent. It’s amazing the special accommodations that are made for that institution.

My opinion, too. This won’t mean much after this season.

RE: Time to Dust Off Your PowerPoint
Before everyone works themselves into a frenzy about this, Notre Dame is never going to join the ACC as a full member. They are going to use them for this year and then, without even a momentary feeling of gratitude or obligatiion, will run back to their precious independence the moment they no longer need the ACC for a full schedule. If Notre Dame, for even one nanosecond, thinks of paying back the ACC by joining for real, you can crush me with a scissor lift.

We're in the middle of the end of the world, just let us have this.

Welp, at least Mark is on board with us. Most of those ACC guys over on their board want Rice, Tulane or UConn.
