I imagine you would get a similar reaction in lots of small towns in rural America. I did notice however that no buildings got burned, no one looted anything over it and there was no violence other than a couple of verbal threats. Mostly just people exercising their 1st amendment rights...like it or not. Id bet my next years salary if I go to Portland or Seattle with a White Lives Matter sign I would not get away without having to defend myself from physical assault.

Small southern towns of 10-15K, with an old Main St or town square are lovely places. Well, most of them. Holly Springs and some in the Miss Delta aren't.
