Good Dog!
Maybe we should call it a flying fur missile.

Quote:As relayed by Fox News, Cali’s Highway Patrol was in pursuit of a “felony suspect wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.”

The Corona Police Department explains:

Officer [Michael Neff] and his partner K9 Duke responded to assist and gave several opportunities for the suspect to give up…which he refused. K9 Duke apprehended the suspect, and Fontana Police took custody of him.

“[i]Apprehended
” is an understatement.

Rubber pellets took out the driver side window, and then Duke took out the driver.

But how does he get from the pavement to the perp? Why fly, of course

TMZ reports cops were pursuing the 31-year-old for stalking and attempting to hurt his estranged wife.

My brother is a police officer. He said when they release the dog everyone freezes because they don't want the dog confusing them for the suspect. Many times guys won't come out and they say they are going to release the dog and they give up.

Why can't we use dogs as a deterent in Portland and Seattle? If one of those rioters harm one of the dogs shoot the Sons of Baal. I'll bet it would help tremendously.

The white Marxists have attacked, shot and even killed blacks. A police dog would be a target to these rat bastards.

Tell them the dogs are rescues and they would explode from the existential crisis of contemplating hurting one.

Too much George Wallace / Bull Connor-esque imagery there.

Water cannons and shepherds, even on pasty white kids (in their 30’s and 40’s) would bring out every grainy tape of 1964 the lunatic left could get their hands on.
That and I would fear far more for the dogs health than, well, some of the other trash.

I used to participate in schutzhund training, primarily as a tackling dummy, and I'm here to tell you that pads or not a 90 or 100 pound animal hitting you full speed is no fun. And after they hit you and start biting it's game over. Even with protective gear the pressures they exert with their bites are painful as hell. You see some of these guys fighting with them, that's either adrenaline or drugs.

And I absolutely adore my German Shepherd. I've owned several highly pedigreed show quality GSD's and the one I have now isn't even registered. I rescued her from a fairly bad situation and she's the absolute best one I've ever had.

George Wallace actually did pretty well with Black voters in his last election.

Why? Because he started a fairly extensive network of state-run vocational schools. I had a number of Black friends growing up who went to those schools and learned trades that made them very good livings. And they voted for him.

That's one (of many) reasons why I am a strong advocate of better vocational education.

I've heard that the dogs are given commands in a language other then English. In your exeperience, any truth to that?

My friend's mom growing up bred and trained working dogs, she trained them in German

Most are given the commands in Dutch (as I recall), because there are fewer words that sound similar.

Thanks. I'd read it was either German or Dutch. Figured the reason was so that whomever was being chased couldn't just tell the dog to "stop" in English.
