As kickoff draws nearer I wonder
I wonder if the pandemic continues to intensify in the U.S., and if the university decides to have her football team play a season with limited seating available: will the university permit the option to keep your guaranteed season tickets but surrender them for this season only..

At 72 years of age I am thinking more and more that I will not be able to justify the risk.

I think it makes the most sense to not make us lose our seats if we sit out this season. They can’t guarantee our regular seats this year anyway, because of the requirement to be spread out.

There is no way you will lose your seats if you dont buy this season. I can't imagine any sports team will do that

Most, if not all, sports team are allowing this......especially right now. I would talk with them but I don’t see them not helping you out. GTG!

You should have to keep your donation level current and if you bought your 2020 seats you can defer that money to 2021. If we are having a season they have already said only those who bought tickets by the deadline will be able to attend games.

The university has to survive and they will have an expectation of Fan participation. The university can’t be the only one making sacrifices. They will be making deep cuts to athletic programming, general university budgets, and at least some salaries.

Of course those that have given up their seats because of the BLM stickers May have to get back in line for choice seats.

What I am asking is if their is a season, but I decide not to attend because of the Covid pandemic; will I then be able to defer my season tickets to next year. I have already made the contribution and paid for this season.

As long as you don't request a refund, but ask to roll the money into next season; I would think they would allow you to keep your seat .... but if you request a refund, then all bets are off

Right now in the US the active cases rate is 48.5%. Even after the spike the daily new cases is heading back down. Today's numbers are the lowest in a month. Third straight day with reduction in new cases.

It is very doubtful that a football season will happen this year.

Looks like the BLM sticker on the helmets will be all for nothing.05-stirthepot

I am beginning to doubt there will be football this year. It's a shame for the team we have returning and the kids who could shine.

The TCU AD was on TV last week saying the Big XII may play in the spring.

Some of the state’s top players will reportedly be transferring to MS private schools as a result. Strange days indeed.

Since not everyone can go to games anyway you “choosing” to defer helps them out. M’y thoughts.

Good lord. It's a virus. The death rate continues to make it statistically more and more like a bad influenza season. Sorry if that offends or triggers, but it's true. Like every virus, you treat it, but you don't shut down economies or change your life in any other meaningfully significant way.

The NCAA's void of leadership in college football has always been there, but it's never been more noticeable than now. Every conference making their own plans and writing the playbook from scratch.

That's all this topic (pandemic) has to offer.
