RE: As kickoff draws nearer I wonder
Crisis training teaches us that in stressful situations people don't "rise to the occasion" so much as they default to their highest level of training. It seems many (most) in our culture have only been trained to be argumentative.

Absolutely! You hit the nail on the head.

Hopefully the source is wrong but, he has connections

Did you really mean cancelled or did you mean moved to the Spring? It just seems hard to believe the majority of athletic programs around the country are going to totally give up the primary revenue source for a full year. But crazier things have happened!

Again, one more time, stop bringing politics into this discussion. Thank you.

There's a chance that inaction by the Big 12 could screw us again... They're going to wait until the last minute and pull the football out from everyone. Once they decide not to play this year, the rest of the P5 conferences will drop off.

Sorry dude you are listening to the wrong people. Even with the restrictions in place which limited the spread. It still has a death rate right at 6-10 times that of the regular flu. The 6 months of the 2019-2020 flu season saw between 20,000-40,000 deaths. While the 5 month of the Covid outbreak has seen right at 152,000 deaths.

As of this morning 48.5% of all cases in the US are still active. Of the closed cases 93% have recovered and 7% have died.

And then you've got this article from yesterday that puts us in as one of four teams that would benefit just from being in the Big 12... They even mention that we lost our last coach, "Phil Norvell".

You have to understand that a very small percentage of people actually have "it". However, many more people will have "it" and never have symptom number 1. This means the infection rate is very high, but a large percentage are asymptomatic. You don't get to just divide deaths by positive tests. That is absurd. And that is before you even consider those counted as COVID deaths, but are really "with covid" instead of "because of" covid. In any event, I have yet to find in the PDR where a cure is a) a purposeful depression or b) race riots.

You are either misinformed, ignorant, lying, or a combination of these. If you are using a source for your claim, I suggest finding a more reputable and less politically skewed source.

I predict in 2021, we will see a large decrease in death rates for strokes, heart attacks, etc for 2020.
Key language: “died OF Covid” vs “died WITH Covid “.
