I'm not saying this hasn't been mentioned, but have Trump and Devos outlined how schools that are already massively overcrowded to begin with are going to be able to open safely? I've heard threats of pulling funding if they don't open, but what's being done to make sure they can socially distance students, have enough testing/PPE/etc to make it not a gigantic petri dish?

I believe the CDC has come up with recommendations.

There are also plenty of examples from how it was done in Europe. States ultimately make the determination.

Before our school system decided to go all virtual in the fall, the options were to split the kids up either by different days or different times of the day with both in school and virtual learning. The desks would be spaced out accordingly. Of course all that went out the window with the decision to go all virtual for the first 9 weeks which will of course be extended.

Kids don't get Covid and those that do either have no symptoms or symptoms that are less than the Flu. Flu kills 1000+ school age kids a year in America every year and nobody even brings it up. If the teachers are too chicken pshit to go to work they can teach via zoom from their homes and eat all day while the kids are in class. There are cameras in every room now so administration can look in. If Walmart and grocery store workers can go to work so can teachers. End this now. Masks don't work and the Experts know it. They are on record years ago in their research findings saying they don't work and in some cases make people get sicker, but NOW they say everyone has to wear one. Horsepshit.
