RE: Coach Candle
The response from MOB is strange - " he is the picture of health, which speaks to the nature of the virus itself". huh?? It's a virus. It doesn't matter how healthy you are, if you exposed to it and it takes hold through a transmission from another person - guess what? You then become a host for the virus and you will test positive - assuming the test is performed correctly and there are no issues with the materials used for testing. The fact that he is asymptomatic speaks to his healthy lifestyle - so maybe that is what MOB was alluding to.

What he needs to do is provide some information on how he caught it from someone else that tested positive. You tend to trust people do not have it if they are showing no visible signs of being infected. That is how you get it - when you let your guard down and make assumptions as to who is, or is not, a "carrier".

Pretty sure you could be weak as a piece a straw and be asymptomatic. Isn't that what they said separates this? You can have it for few days or a lengthy before it does enough it affects you in a noticable way. Might never. I think that's what he's saying. You can have it and look just fine for a time, regardless its end-game on you.

If you're right, then it could be worse to be healthy. You could have it longer, affect many more until it makes itself known.

Any how I hope the University does some contact tracing and wonder if any other people he was around after being exposed tested positive. To me that's most important that no players or other coaches were positive (let alone private citizens).

Michigan State became the latest football program to pause workouts due to COVID-19 on Wednesday after a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus, the program announced. The positive test came as the Spartans prepared to ramp up from eight hours per week of voluntary workouts to 20 hours per week of permitted activity.

I don't think being weak would have anything to do with being asymptomatic - if you have a healthy immune system. When I hear of someone leading a healthy lifestyle, I'm thinking of them eating right and paying attention to their lab work ups if they getting a thorough annual physical. A good doctor will find problems with the immune system that can be corrected by changing certain lifestyle habits. Some of it is hereditary, but most is a direct result of lifestyle choices - especially eating habits. And you are right that it could also just be a question of time before an asymptomatic person develops the characteristic symptoms of the virus. Also a problem if the immune system "over-reacts" and causes the inflammation that becomes the worst situation to be in. Now excuse me while I go check out of the Holiday Inn....
