The rivalry
[attachment=10367]I posted this on yosefs cabin .
On another note I need y’alls help! My brother in laws father in law ..who I kept an on going dig with on App vs Ga so for over 20 years. He was a huge supporter of Georgia southern and I was the opposite. He recently died and left me something in his will! Just got it today. We would joke and put stickers of each team on each other’s car . What should I do with it? He was a good man.

Stuff like this is what makes college football college football. Those prints are hard to come by these days. I'd cherish it, and also figure out how to slip him one last App State sticker. 04-cheers

That's a fairly rare print these days, definitely keep it as a memory of your friend.

He definitely had the last laugh though.

Sorry to hear of your loss, sounded like a guy with a great sense of humor. Being an App guy, this piece will always be a conversation starter and a constant reminder of your friendship.

Sorry to hear about this guy. That print is quite old and probably not easy to find as TBD said.

If it were my late dear friend and I had something like that with Jerry Moore, Armanti Edwards, and Brian Quick I'd either display it with the rest of my GS stuff (I'm not going to put it anywhere where it'll be seen by itself, haha) or I would donate it to the Yosef Club in my friend's name.

Our EFAA (the organization of former player alumni) would probably be happy to take it and auction it off next spring in your friend's name if you don't want it.

Yah I’d imagine it would fetch a pretty sizable donation. If your not interested in hooking your brother up put it in the man cave. It’s a pretty epic addition and you may consider willing it to the EFAA. ; )

Yes, donating to the EFAA in his name and see how much it would fetch in auction is a really good idea.

You should take it to one of those wrap companies to replicate it on a metal chair and then let the App team shoot a parody video.

Sorry for your loss. Don’t sell it, just keep it. Probably meant more than just a joke gift, but that’s my opinion

Sorry for your loss but that gift says alot about the relationship you guys had and a reminder of how special college football is and how special the App St vs GaSo rivalry is. I would hang it proudly in my man cave with all my App swag! Certainly nothing wrong with recognizing Coach Russell as he was one of a kind!

I'd hang that up with pride...it really does speak to the special bond you guys had over football and to the special place the App - GS rivalry has in many of our hearts.

I agree. It would always be a conversation starter and a reminder of the great rivalry, both on the field and within your family. The contributions of certain coaches (like Erk Russell for GS or Jerry Moore for App) transcends the rivalry.

JK, sorry for your loss. it does look nice for a GaSou fan, or to hang with your stuff if you want.

RE: The rivalry
Think about having it re-framed and put something on it in remembrance of your friend at the base. Just a thought. Give some perspective but only if you have to. It'll look great just like it is!

An App frame would be cool. Mother Mary please forgive me.

The rivalry
You have to keep it. You know your friend was laughing to himself when he put it in his will. As someone pointed out, Erk and Jerry were special and I think both sides can agree. I’ll never forget the story of a GSU player (can’t recall his name) injuring his neck at The rock and no family in attendance. Jerry Moore’s wife went to the hospital with the young man. That told me all I needed to know about the Moore family.

Maybe this will help with your App allegiance, pic is mainly focused on Erk. He was 0-1 against App!

I agree with the "you have to keep it" side. It makes for a great story and a great way to remember a friend.
