I agree. I wish representatives of UAB wouldn't tweet or put out public messages like that

Yeah, it would be great if all UAB representatives could be professional on social media, even award-winning scientists.

AK could have said, "I'm three beers into tonight so bring it on!", or something to that effect. That would have been even more unprofessional.

Surely it was not about masks since they put out a workout video not wearing masks.

The tweet before this was about the 'snitch' hotline the NBA setup. I'm thinking it was a self reply type situation...maybe.

Andy Kennedy's Twitter account is presented as an official UAB account. Sarah Parcak's is not (hers doesn't mention UAB in any way, actually)

It’s Covid related bout some players possible contact w/ a positive... caused a couple to go into 14 day quarantine.

Guys are working out in 4 man pods, so if a positive pops up we don’t have to shut down the whole squad. It’s gonna take a minor miracle for there to be much of a season for anyone.

If it is corona related, that makes it all the worse. Everything about what's going on should be open, and if someone is not sticking to protocols it should be reported

I wouldn’t be too concerned about it. Obviously nothing severe really surfaced from it.
