Legacy Arena Renovations in Birmingham. It will no longer look like a bomb shelter.
Legacy Arena in Downtown Birmingham(Next to new Protective Stadium in the Uptown District) undergoing major renovations that should be completely a couple of months after the completion of Protective Stadium. I'm thinking it will host another CUSA Tourney in the near future.

It will no longer look like a giant bomb shelter after completion....lol.

Congratulations! I love seeing C-USA programs raising the bar. It looks like UAB will have some top notch venues to play in very soon. 04-cheers

I thought the legacy arena in B'ham was an excellent place for the CUSA tourney. Didn't need a freaking curtain. Bring it back to east of the Mississippi where it belongs.

The arena was pretty plain at the time, and the area around it hadn't really been built up quite as much as it is today. I'm hoping these renovations will give the conference a really good spot to play, with a modern arena. It's unfortunately still going to be too large for what this conference requires, but at least it will be nice.

Glad to see this place getting a make over. What year was it originally built? Im guessing 60's or 70's with the architecture. I liked having the CUSA tournament there and hope it returns. Hopefully the game day staff gets a makeover as well.

It was completed in 1976.
