Craig Thames
Just got a text saying Craig Thames passed away. Anyone know anything? Googled it and found nothing. Very sad, if true.

Wow, tragic if true. I also can't find anything on-line or twitter.

Wasn't there just a news story on him catching up with what he was doing?

Yes, dated June 20 of this year, IIRC.

RE: Craig Thames
If true, would join other Toledo players that died too soon. Dick Miller, Barry Sonenberg (age 39), Green, Charlambous (sp?), probably many others I can't recall. I also could not find any info after doing a search on Thames. Did find a Edwin "Craig" Thames, age 58 that died in South Carolina back in 2013. Hopefully that was picked up incorrectly as being the Rocket Craig Thames.

OK, just got word Craig is fine. A relative passed and someone jumped the gun on the report. I got more and more skeptical as the day went on.

RE: Craig Thames
It was his Uncle Duane Thames. He was a very good player for Waite. I once saw him score 35 against Devilibis in 1975-76 season. Nice guy. Did not know him well but thought very highly of him.
