i believe there is significant legal precedent for being "guilty by association", that even though you may not have committed the actual crime if you aid and abet those who do, you have at least some level of culpability.

If that is true and these poor pitiful souls who were detained for a couple of hours are a part of the protests that are shining laser, spray painting private property, destroying public property, assaulting police officers, etc.. if they are willingly a part of that group ( mob ) then do prosecutors have to establish that they are the actual perps? If so wouldn't you expect to be pulled off the street for "wearing black?"

Not enough info to tell if any rights were violated. I suspect federal offers are arresting specific individuals who have warrants or were observed committing a federal felony. Arrested folks are brought before judges for first appearance for probable cause and bond determinations. They do seem to be prosecuting the individuals. No due process issues if this is the case.

Only way this is bad is if they are just abducting random protestors and not charging them with a crime or affording due process. It is highly doubtful that is what is happening. The left is ignorant or lying like usual.

I suspect that the Feds have undercover spotters in cars, watching and identifying those committing vandalism, arson, etc. I highly doubt that the guys are 'abducting' random people out on the street. Trump knows that no matter what he does or doesn't do, the media and half the folks in this country will hammer him for it so I suspect that there have been strict rules of engagement put in place. Why give them the ammo?
