Like Dormady,
Poljan, was immensely overrated. He wasn't half the TE as Tyler Conklin (now with the Vikings).

Add in JJ Watt and we've had some pretty good TEs come through Mt Pleasant. Watt would have been a great NFL TE too, IMO... if he had stayed at that position. But, it worked out pretty darn well for him making the switch to defense.

RE: Like Dormady,
Kind of hard to say Tony was overrated when he had one season under his belt at TE and wasn't far off from Conklin's most productive year. At 6'7 250+ he was a matchup nightmare. I think Conklin was probably a little more athletic and was more likely to make the acrobatic catch, but I was really looking forward to having Tony as another weapon this year. Not easy to find guys of his size that can do what he did on the field.

Not hard to say at all. He was the Milt Plum of CMU QBs. Besides, we have others who can step up.

He was an absolutely horrendous QB, no questioning that. Had he been a tight end from day 1, he would have obliterated what Conklin accomplished, statistically speaking.

I guess we'll never know, but I respect your opinion.
