The UT website has added the incoming freshmen to the on-line football roster. Several names are missing right now. If I read things correctly:

Missing incoming freshmen:
Constant, Thompkins, Poynter, Schweibert, Walker, Coleus

Don't know what, if anything, that means at this point in time.

Others from last year's roster not listed, who haven't otherwise been reported to be in the transfer portal:
Nick Carey, Erik Davis, Connor Head, Brandon Heidecker, Anthony Lebada, Edrick Mathews, Joe Smith, Adam Ummel

Nick Carey and Connor Head were medically disqualified and Brandon Heidecker graduated.

Also, Cross Wilkinson has transferred out, Lehigh I believe. Nick Carey apparently has a recurring knee injury suffered in high school that has never gotten any better. And, Connor Head is supposedly scheduled for a third back surgery for an injury sustained in week 5 of the 2018/19 season

I just saw on Cross' twitter site a tribute to Jahneil Douglas. That is pretty special! Looks like he might already be at Lehigh. My son went to Lafayette and if everything is "healthy" again I might get the chance too see Cross play. Patriot League football is pretty decent. Lehigh had an off year last year and possibly Cross might get the chance to play.

From last week...
The Patriot League, which competes at the FCS level in football, announced Monday that it will not participate in fall competition. The decision makes the Patriot League the second D-I conference to cancel fall sports, joining the Ivy League.

Adam Ummel was a Clay High grad and walk-on. he was a great HS receiver, but was not at a good size and speed combination to be an FBS receiver. I think if he had stuck it out, he would have seen the field by his Junior/Senior seasons as a reliable pass catcher. He will likely end up as a student only at UT or may move down a level or 2 to play in college. I believe he was one of a very few ( if there were even others) that earned 4 varsity letters in football at Clay.

Bailey Flint is a Wuerfful Trophy finalist per the UT FB page. So who responds with a big heart to the news? Bailey Flint. I asked if he was 100% and he says “Yes”! Good news-Cluckey was great in his dual role last year but Flint was more versatile and had a bigger leg.

Well, even though there is no fall season coming, UT finally updated the FB roster and coaches lists.

Of the freshmen that were missing earlier, Poynter, Walker and Coleus are now on the roster. Still missing are Constant, Thompkins and Schweibert.

Walk-ons are now lists, most of whom we had already heard about:
S Dylan Barry
WR Hunter Helton
TE Jason Vucinaj
K Drew Delverne
P Cole Riebe
Also listed is Whitmer RB Jared Banks, who I don't remember hearing about before as going to UT. Cavon Butler is now officially listed.

Some other new names that I do not recall seeing before:
RFr WR Kenvon Sneed from Trotwood, not sure if he was enrolled at UT last season or elsewhere
RFr DT Dorian Wesley who was in the 2019 class, but was not on last year's roster.
SO CB Delonte Hood, JUCO All-American from Glenville St
JR CB Noah Hamlin, transfer from Cincy who had problems with a DUI there
SR OT Vitaliy Gurman, who appears to be a grad transfer from Edinboro U. Was All-Conference there.

I think that's everyone new, although I may have missed someone.

The coaches list is also updated with a couple new (to me) including Javon Ringer who I guess is back, as he wasn't on staff last season.

As rumored - CB Noah Hamlin (transfer from Cinci) Is now on roster with JR eligibility.

247 is reporting CB Jordan Hendy has put his name in the transfer portal.

He was buried on depth chart. Not likely to see significant PT. Good luck to Jordon. Not a loss from a football perspective

Was looking a bit at the roster and noticed a few things:

- Micah Kelley is now listed as a WR
- Another FR PWO that I missed before in OL Seth Frantz from Englewood Northmont. Big kid for a frosh at 310#
- Nobody listed with a position of "defensive back" anymore which was standard for UT rosters for years. Either listed as CB or S.
- Team has 4 place kickers, all SO or FR. Surprising to need so many.

Some stats:
114 players
FR: 24, R-FR: 25, SO: 21, JR: 24, SR: 20 (very balanced)
57 offense, 49 defense, 8 ST
50 from Ohio, 17 FLA, 12 Mich, 6 PA, no other state more than 3.

I'd assume the staff wants to get him on the field and there aren't many carries available so better to line him up at wr and get him the ball that way.

I would guess Stuart would be the favorite to be the #3 RB. They also have the highly rated Lynch coming in as a FR. Were supposed to have Constant too, but still don't know what happened with him.

DT #52 Derrius Mullins also missing from 2020 roster. He would have been a junior.
